It was in May 2012 that I last wrote about Natural Disasters affecting the world (see HERE) and perhaps being a sign that Christ could soon return, so lets take a look at what has been happening around the world since last May.

It is in Matthew 24 that we see the disciples asking Jesus:

3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

To which Jesus replied:

4 Jesus answered: Watch out that no one deceives you.
5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,a’ and will deceive many.

Christ’s first statement is, “Watch out that no one deceives you”.   Interesting.  Is deception on the rise in the church?  …  for Jesus said many would come in HIS name and deceive many.  If you take a look through my category titled “Charismatic Doctrines: Are They Biblical?” you can see just a couple topics that are currently being preached in Charismatic circles which have no Scriptures as backing.  And this is just one denomination of Christianity.

There are also Christian Leaders who preach that homosexuals can look forward to heaven such as “Alan Chambers President of Exodus International” (see HERE)

And have you heard that Wycliffe seems to be sanitizing the Bible from the Word “Son” when describing  Jesus Christ?  Wycliffe (and other translators perhaps?) are also changing the name of the Father to Allah as well in Muslim countries … or countries where there are a large number of Muslims … to appease Muslim populations, as seen in this translation of Matthew 28:19 — ‘Cleanse them by water in the name of Allah, his Messiah and his Holy
’  Do you think it is okay to change the Names of the God of the Bible in order to appease Muslims?  Do you think the Apostles would have done such?

So, deception … the first sign that Christ said would show that He is Soon To Return … is already here.  And increasing I believe, in the name of “love”, “tolerance”, and “acceptance”.

Next Matthew 24 states:

6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

It is said that the Greek word for NATION is ETHNOS, so that the above verse could read “ethnos will rise against ethnos“, or in other words, ethnicity against ethnicity.

Such is taking place all over the world:

…local groups documented 3,500 civilian dead as of November 15 (2011) in the Syria uprising (see HERE)

July 1, 2012 Reuters reports: “Iran announced missile tests on Sunday and threatened to wipe Israel “off the face of
the earth” if the Jewish state attacked it”

On August 13th, the UK’s Telegraph reports: “A surge of violence in Egypt’s Sinai desert this week is heightening Israeli
concerns about what officials and analysts describe as the growing presence
of al-Qaeda-linked jihadis along the Jewish state’s borders.”

And Christians are still being persecuted in Nigeria as reported HERE:  “Hundreds of Christians have begun fleeing northern Nigeria after dozens were killed in a series of attacks by Islamist militants who issued an ultimatum to Christians to leave the mainly Muslim region or be killed”

A quick google search on the latest uprisings in Nations all over the world will show in detail how hatred and mass killings currently cover the Globe.

Matthew 24 goes on to read:

There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

22 Feb 2012:  “In July 2011 the UN formally declared famine in two regions of Somalia.” (see HERE)

There is a USAID page which shows the following chart:

It is also devastating to read that: Children are being abandoned on Greece’s streets by their poverty-stricken families who cannot afford to look after them any more.” (seen HERE) which seems to tie in to another Sign that Christ predicted would happen just before His Return, when he stated:

12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold …

At least we are not yet seeing what has been predicted in Lamentations 4:

10 With their own hands compassionate women
have cooked their own children,
who became their food
when my people were destroyed.
11 The Lord has given full vent to his wrath; he has poured out his fierce anger.
As we scroll down in Matthew 24 we read:
32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.
33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it (the day of the Christ’s Return) is near, right at the door.
34 I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
We very likely could be that generation which is witnessing the beginning of the End.

Natural disasters seem to be occurring at more frequent rates (see report HERE), the love of people seems to be decreasing even if just because people don’t seem to have enough time to even think of people other than themselves in 1st world countries, and persecution can be found in many countries around the world in varying degrees.

One final, terrifying Sign will be:
15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel…
I still believe that the Church will not be around to see this anti-christ deceiver sitting in the temple in Jerusalem proclaiming himself to be ‘god’, according to 2 Thessalonians 2, which reads:
5 Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?
6 And now you know what is holding him back, so that he may be revealed at the proper time.
7 For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work; but the one who now
it back will continue to do so till he is taken out of the way.
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will overthrow with the breath of his mouth and destroy by the splendor of his coming.
I believe the “he” found in verse 7 (“til he is taken out of the way”) is the Body of Christ since the Body of Christ will appear WITH Jesus at the end of this age to overthrow this anti-christ deceiver.  Therefore, the Body of Christ must already be in Heaven and have enjoyed the Marriage Supper of the Lamb if the Body is to return with Christ at Christ’s return!

I also see in other Scriptures that the Body of Christ must be taken “out of the way” in order for the Wrath of God to be allowed to be loosed on the Earth, for Christians have been saved from wrath:

9For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. – 1 Thessalonians 5:9
10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. – or “out of the hour of trial” according to the Darby Translation – Revelation 3:10
… but I am reading the post- and mid-trib writings Readers, so feel free to keep posting Scriptures.

With all of the different Signs happening around the World, I ask:

Will YOU be ready for Christ’s Return?

Please do yourself the greatest favor and think about where you will spend eternity?  Search the Scriptures and see that you must walk in holiness in order to be with the Lord, for I truly desire that you will be in Heaven for all eternity!

Hebrews 12: 4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of shedding your blood.
5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as sons:
“My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline,
and do not lose heart when he rebukes you,
6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son.”
7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?
8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.
9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them
for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and
10Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God
disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.
11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however,
it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been
trained by it.
12 Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.
13 “Make level paths for your feet,” so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.

14 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
15 See to it that no one misses the grace of God…

God bless all who are looking for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ!

GEBAL is now known as the region of LEBANON.     Lebanon has long been known for its unrest, with Hezbollah usually at the front of the turmoil, and we know that Hezbollah would love to erase Israel from the face of the Earth if given the chance.

But is Lebanon mentioned in the Bible as part of the Arab Nations who come against Israel in the great End Times war?  Yes it is.  You can read my newest article HERE which tells of Lebanon’s place in Bible Prophecy and its position against Israel.

MOAB is the descendant of Lot who bore Moab through his eldest daughter (Genesis 19:36,37) and Moab is a part of current day JORDAN, East of the Dead Sea.

The City of PETRA is located in Southern Jordan … a city thought to be the place that the Jewish Believers will escape to during the Great Tribulation, even as Jesus states in Luke 21Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains …” and as Revelation 12:6 prophecies: “The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days.

But is Jordan mentioned anywhere else in the Bible regarding the End Times and its relation with Israel?

The answer is YES and you can read my article HERE to learn of Jordan’s role in the coming Arab War against Israel, which was been predicted in the Psalms! It is interesting to note how the End Times Nations in this Psalm are currently experiencing revolutions…very interesting indeed!

But did you know that REVOLUTIONS were predicted by Christ when He walked the Earth?  He said that Revolutions would be a sign of and would take place before the End of the Age …  see Luke 21 below.  So as Christians watching the current world events, we MUST remember to keep our thoughts focused on God’s Truths, for Christ also stated that our hearts WOULD be “weighed down with dissipation, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you unexpectedly like a trap” if we refuse to keep our focus on Christ our Savior and Protector, by reading His Words and Promises on a consistent or daily basis.

Stay focused Christians.
Keep doing what you are called to do … giving generously, loving one another, walking in holiness, etc.
For our redemption is even closer today than yesterday!
Even so … Come Lord Jesus!  Hallelujah!

Is it the future for the world?

Are countries already discussing making their societies cashless?

Was such a thing ever prophesied in the Bible?

Is talk of becoming cashless an indicator that the End of this Age could be upon us … with Christ’s return to rule the Earth, just around the corner?

Below are some News Articles written in 2010 showing that Cashless Societies are indeed, desired around the world

We’ll make Nigeria cashless society – IBPLC

By Nnamdi Ojiego

Intercontinental Bank Plc, IBPLC, has revealed its desire and determination to make Nigeria a cashless country in line with what is obtainable in advanced countries of the world.

Sweden Considers Cashless Society

Written by Alex Newman

Monday, 20 September 2010 00:00

The move toward a cashless society is accelerating in Sweden as plastic payments become the norm and various government officials, unions, and high-profile Swedes push for a ban on cash, supposedly to reduce robberies. But opposition to the proposal is mounting as well. Swedish buses have already stopped accepting cash after a series of robberies. Commuters must now pay at a separate store before getting on the bus, or use a cell phone. The next targets for the anti-cash movement are banks and retailers. …

Unions are also helping to lead the charge toward a cashless Sweden. “If we can reduce the amount of cash in the banks and in society in general, robberies will also be reduced,” Marie Look with the Swedish bank workers’ union told the BBC for a recent article.

“If in the long term we abandon cash completely, there will be no robberies, because there’s no point in robbing a bank if there’s no cash there to steal,” she added, perhaps not realizing that the workers she purports to represent would mostly lose their jobs under a cashless regime. Other unions are pushing the issue, too.  …

(My Notes:
Fear is a great motivator and I can see that such statements/reasonings could be made in any Country, world wide, to promote this philosophy of Cashless Societies)

Steve Perry, executive vice president of Visa Europe, has a different take on the folding stuff packed in our wallets that most of us take for granted. “Cash is expensive,” he says. “We need to be using it less.”

Expensive? Vintage wines, maybe. Designer clothes, yes. Modern art, almost certainly. But cash?

“Why do you think supermarkets introduced cashback?” Perry asks rhetorically.

Australia Becoming a Cashless Society

The number of Australians withdrawing cash from ATMs has dropped to its lowest point in over six years, signalling that consumers are reducing their over the counter cash transactions.

Debit and credit card analysis firm MWE Consulting, found that debit card ATM withdrawals fell by 6.3 per cent to 2.39 per month in 2009, as reported in The Australian

Monthly transactions peaked in 2006 with an average of 2.62 cash withdrawals each month.

“We have been seeing a reduction in cash transactions on credit (card) for a long time . . . but what is significant is this (debit card) reduction, which accelerated in the last year,” said managing director of MWE Mike Ebstein.

“I think that’s a sign that Australians are beginning to move away from cash as their staple payment product,” he said.

Mr Ebstein said that the figures are showing a reduction in cash usage for the first time, indicating that “we are finally beginning to move towards a cashless society.”

So, has the Bible prophesied such a society?

Is Revelation 13 telling of a Cashless Society?

16 He (the Beast – Rev 13:11) also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, 17so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

If, indeed, Revelation 13 is showing that a Cashless Society is to be expected in the End Times Tribulation time period, then couldn’t this push to get countries Cashless be an indicator that the End of this Age is upon us?  Could it be a warning sign that the Return of Christ to Earth is sooner than some may think?

Just a thought.

And just another warning sign to prepare ourselves for Christ’s Return.

“Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to ESCAPE ALL that is ABOUT TO HAPPEN (via the rapture), and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man”
– Luke 21:36 NIV
